Am i gifted or just bright( only people who are going to answer the actually question?)?

I'm curious to know why you have never been tested in school. Whether in public or private school, you have rights and your mother should be able to request in writing that your school start the evaluation process to see if you are gifted. Formal evaluation is done by a professional psychologist connected with the school. If you are found to be gifted, then certain doors can open to you via that designation. First of all, an IEP is written. In PA where I live, this is done for those at both ends of the intelligence spectrum, both those in Special Ed and the Gifted. It can include the need for challenging experiences, such as shadowing someone in your future career choice, or that arrangements be made for more challenging cles even if your school doesn't offer them. It might be at a local college or perhaps a cyber cl. A big advantage would be noting the IEP on your college application and can lead to college honors cles. In my district, gifted education is offered for children identified as early as kindergarten although usually it is in done at least in middle elementary years. You sound amazing and you deserve the chance for broader opportunities. So how come you have slipped by all these years?
